Display Energy Certificate (DEC)

The Display Energy Certificate is a legal requirement that applies to any building for use and occupation by the public – e.g. doctor’s surgeries, leisure centres, hospitals and libraries.

The DEC rating is based on actual energy usage rather than on an estimate. As such, it provides more accurate data and can be used as official evidence for display purposes. We will carry out the survey and advise you on how to improve the energy performance of the building.

What happens next?

  1. Initial consultation, along with a site visit if necessary, to establish purpose of the DEC.
  2. Submit fee proposal
  3. Following formal instruction, we will carry out the survey
  4. Process the survey data.
  5. Deliver the DEC and Recommendation Report.
